Starring kabocha squash, broccoli and our gut-friendly curry spice. A blend of basil, coriander, jalapeño, and coconut milk, creates a vibrant herby sauce. Served on rice, topped with crunchy walnuts, it's simply delightful!
I really enjoyed this one and will be adding it to my regular rotation!
Love the flavours and how full of veggies it is! Never had this type of squash before, it's really good.
I love you, Gut Feelings, but this meal was a disaster from concept to execution. Obviously it was never going to look like the photo – the cilantro just wouldn't survive the cooking process – but the most unforgivable difference was the complete absence of curry sauce. Whatever sauce or seasoning went into this was so minimal, it didn't actually register. The combo of squash and red pepper was unpleasantly sweet, while the combo of squash and broccoli was just mushy. This really needed something like tamari-marinated tempeh for the texture, salt, and to make the meal more filling. Although this meal includes nuts, the biggest crunch we encountered came from uncooked rice (my husband nearly hurt a tooth). All in all, super disappointing.
Hi Lindsay, this is Miranda from Gut Feelings. I'm very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with this meal. I appreciate your honest feedback. Since this is a new meal we just released, your feedback can be very helpful for us to make improvements to the meal. Since we're a small company and produce our meals in smaller batches, we have been able to make quick adjustments to our meals based on customer feedback. After chatting with our Chef, we've decided to make a few changes in the next batch of Green Curry. One of the changes being that we'll make sure to add more sauce per portion because the kabocha tends to absorb lots of liquid when we reheat the meals. Most of the flavor for this meal is in the green curry sauce so this will help a lot with flavors overall. For the cilantro, it's actually blended in the sauce. We've also taken note of your feedback on the texture and the rice. We can send you an improved Green Curry next time to try if you'd like to give it a second chance! Again, thanks for your feedback and being a loyal customer. I hope we'll be able to provide you with more satisfying experiences in the days ahead! --Miranda
